Ghetto cam/Dodgy-scoping

I was told that Brambling were often seen at Rogerstown in winter so it was handy that I spend so much time up there. Numbers fluctuate apparently (2 last year, 50 odd the year before), but I was informed that they were definitely around this year, in the "partridge field"; it was just a matter of picking them out of the ever increasing flock of linnets, chaffinches and greenfinches. I finally laid eyes on one late one Sunday afternoon, a great bird to see. The photos below are from last Sunday, my second time seeing them. They're an example of my ropey digi-scoping technique - using my fairly cheap scope and the phone on my camera. Dodgy-scoping I call it. The results aren't great but they do for reference!
